KHW-W-23-01 NOTICE OF CUSTOMER HEARING ORDER NO. 35953 On March 28, 2023, Kootenai Heights Water System (“Company”) applied to the Idaho Public Utilities Commission (“Commission”) for authorization to increase its rates and charges for water service (“Application”). The Company requested a May 1, 2023, effective date. The Company also filed a supplemental exhibit on March 29, 2023. On April 14, 2023, the Commission issued a Notice of Application, Notice of Intervention Deadline, and Notice of Suspension of Proposed Effective Date. Order No. 35741. On August 2, 2023, the Commission issued a Notice of Virtual Public Workshop and Notice of Modified Procedure setting public comment and Company reply deadlines. Order No. 35871. We now issue this Order setting the date and time for a customer hearing. NOTICE OF CUSTOMER HEARING YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that the Commission’s Rules of Modified Procedure contemplate that a case will be processed by written submissions without the need for a customer hearing. However, the Commission finds good cause to schedule a customer hearing in this case because of the potential impact to customers if the Company’s Application is approved. YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that the Commission will conduct a customer hearing in this matter on WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 18, 2023, beginning at 11:00 A.M. (PDT) and ending at 1:00 P.M. (PDT), or after all customer testimony has been taken, whichever comes first. The purpose of the public hearing is to take testimony from members of the public and customers of the Company regarding the Company’s Application. The hearing will take place at: SANDPOINT COMMUNITY HALL 204 S. 1ST AVENUE SANDPOINT, ID 83864 NOTICE OF CUSTOMER HEARING ORDER NO. 35953 2 YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that to listen to the customer hearing, please call 1-415- 655-0001 and enter the meeting number 2631 521 2642 when prompted.1 YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that the customer hearing will meet accessibility requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Persons needing the help of a sign language interpreter or other assistance to participate in or to understand testimony at a customer hearing may ask the Commission to provide a sign language interpreter or other assistance at the hearing. (PDT) at the Sandpoint Community Hall, 204 S. 1st Ave., Sandpoint, ID 83864. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that parties comply with Order No. 35375, issued April 21, 2022. Generally, all pleadings should be filed with the Commission electronically and will be deemed timely filed when received by the Commission Secretary. See Rule 14.02. Service between parties should continue to be accomplished electronically when possible. However, voluminous discovery-related documents may be filed and served on CD-ROM or a USB flash drive. /// 1 Customers who choose to call in will be able to listen but will not be able to offer testimony.
