Comment: "On Thursday, April 6, 2023, I received a call from Kelsey Carter of the Idaho DEQ in Idaho Falls asking me if I
had received a noficaon from the Island Park Water Co/. regarding a boil order in the Aspen Ridge Subdivision. I told
her I had not. I do not know if a posng was placed on the door of the cabin I own at 4783 Cedar Road. Snows are deep
and drive may not be plowed so, admitedly it may difficult to get in to post. I was told pressure was lost in lines and a
boil order was put in place. I nofied the HOA Board (even though it is not our responsibility) to send out emails to
residents to be on the safe side. We don't want anyone geng sick. In my opinion, this is a serious mater, and every
atempt should be made to get the word out asap. To my knowledge, this was not done. There are only a few who live in
Aspen Ridge year round. But others visit on weekends and deserve to be protected as well. It is my understanding there
are no check valves at the pumps, so likelihood of contaminaon is increased. Since I purchased this cabin, it has been a
concern that we have to run water all winter to keep lines from freezing. This is wasteful. It also adds water
unnecessarily to a public sewer system that is nearing capacity. We do rent the cabin in the summer and rely on safe
water for guests. If one were to get sick, we likely would get sued. There is a lot of concern as to when future upgrades
to the water system will be made. "
