The regulated water utility serves about 334 customers on seven separate water systems within five subdivisions in Fremont County. During the hearing, which begins at 7 p.m. at Ponds Lodge, 3570 N. Highway 20, customers will be able to testify before the commissioners regarding the company’s proposal. There is no presentation from the commission or staff. The hearing is strictly for the purpose of hearing from customers. Island Park Water filed the application for the increase on March 26. The company contends that an increase is necessary to meet increase operating expenses, including the higher cost of electricity, lab fees for testing water, labor and materials for repairs and maintenance to the pumps and water lines.
