I think you should look around the area (Shotgun South ?)
before you come up wi th an annual increase that charges
everyone the same. Some of the people in the viilage have
iarge yards (grass) that they water all the time i others
have four or five travel trailers that are here all summer.
Like five or six months, others are only here three or four.
Some i ike the ones that i ive on my corner have to make sure
water i$ running all winter or else; we end up wi th ho water
for thrèe or four months. NO water since Feb. 27, '08 that I
know of. (I work in West Yellowstone all winter.) I use only
bottled water to drink, because of all the problems we have
had with contaminated water. So some days I may not have run
any water out of the faucet.

I am strongly against the proposed increase applied for by the Island Park Water Company. I
have complained to them numerout times about the fact that I have no water in the winter due
to fact that their water line was installed incorrectly. It is not deep enough to prevent
the water fro~ freezing every winter. I can only use my cabin from June 1 to about October
15 each year. ¡ $280.00 is completely unreasonable for 4 1/2 months of service. I have asked
them to fix t~e situation and they refuse. They also refuse to reduce the charge due to the
fact that I only have use of the water for a short time. Their comment - i do you want the
water or not i. They are unwilling to do anything about their problem, therefore, as far as I
am concerned, not entitled to the increase

I am opposing the size of the rate increase. This is a one rate fits all type of water
rate. There are a number of individuals that live in the sub-division permanently and/or for
the complete Summer and use water for watering lawns as well as the household use. I am one
who parks a travel trailer on my lot and averages 8 days a year of use. I do not feel that I
should pay the same as those who are permanent residents or seasonal (semi-permanent). If
this rate incfease is allowed, there should be a stipulation that water meters be installed
and the rate per gallon established.
