Comment: "It is outrageous that our water bill will increase by 135%. We paid $650.00 last year for water and based on this proposed increase it will go up to $1,525.00 this year, that is
$875.00 more for the same amount of water. We understand, due to inflation, that there will be some increase but to increase it by 135% at one time is not right and is not fair to the
homeowners."

Comment: "In regards to the rate increase for our water in Spirit Lake East, I feel that the increase is WAY TOO EXTREME. I can see a small increase but proposing a 69% increase is
ridiculous. Raising not only the minimum charge but more than doubling the the over minimum charge per 1000 gallons is an extreme hardship. Water is essential, especially if you
have animals. With the cost of everything going up, our budgets just can’t handle this. I’m retired and only have Social Security for income. I am opposed to this extreme increase in
water rates proposed by Gem State Water. "
