SUBJECT:INCREASING THE HOURLY COMPENSATION OF THE TRS, USF
AND ITSAP FUND ADMINISTRATORS
The Staff is recommending that the Commission increase the compensation rates for
our TRS, USF, and ITSAP Administrators from $55.00 per hour to $60.00 per hour. Until last
year, the TRS Administrator s rate was $50.00 since 1996. Likewise, the USF/ITSAP
Administrator s compensation was $50.00 per hour since 1993.
The complexity of the issues related to the administration of these funds has
increased over the years. Staff values and appreciates the specialized expertise that Mr. Dunbar
(TRS) and Ms. Anderson (USF/ITSAP) contribute in their capacities as administrators. Staff
believes that the $60.00 per hour rate is very competitive for the relative specialized part-time
work performed by our administrators. Ms. Anderson s total compensation would be limited to
$27 000 and Mr. Dunbar s compensation would be limited to $39 000.
Does the Commission approve the increased compensation rate from $55.00 to
$60.00 per hour for our fund administrators?
