Comment: "Dear Sir or Madam, I received the notice of the proposed rate increase filed by Gem State Water. The rate increase Gem State Water seeks is excessive and unaffordable for
most of us who live on a fixed retirement income. My current rate is $25.55 a month for 8,000 gallons and the proposed increase to $70.70 a month for 20,000 gallons is unwarranted for the
type of service provided by Gem State Water. I have rarely (once or twice in summer vegetable gardening) gone over the allotted amount of water in the nine years I have lived in
my home. This proposed rate increase in a time of forced inflation is beyond sanity. I have always made a great effort to conserve my water usage. I have no lawn or landscaping on any
type of sprinkler system and water my vegetable garden by hand. My water using fixtures in my home are all water conserving fixtures. Why on earth would I need an increase in a base
amount of 8,000 gallons, of which I rarely exceed, to 20,000 gallons which is insane. Not to mention the monetary increase. Those of us with a functioning brain can easily connect the
dots to the valid reason for the unaffordable rate increase but are not allowed to voice our opinions anymore. I'm sure my opinion on this matter will add my name to some government
list and will effect my score. So be it. I register my comment AGAINST an increase in Gem State Water rates. Sincerely, Lauri Murakami"

Comment: "According to the letter I received from Gem State Water, they said my current rate is 41.86. That is wrong. My current rate is 25.55. So, if the proposed rate of 70.70 goes into
effect, then that would be a 176.7% increase. I strongly oppose this increase. Please consider these proposals."
