Good day,
writing in regards to case # gsw-w-22-01
Received a letter from Gem State Water regarding rate increases to take
effect on Sept. 1,2022.
It's absolutely ludicrous to increase customers water rates by 135%!!
We are in total disagreement with the rate hike and the change of water usage
fees above certain amounts. The company is increasing fees in numerous ways.
If they say the fees need to be raised because of new customers then stop
adding new! We have been on this system for 22 yrs. There has been very little
building in our loop.
We were formerly Bitterroot water co.
Letter reads the filing is subject to public review and a Commission decision
before it can take effect. When is the public review going to be held?
People here struggle enough with inflation and rising cost of living. this would
make Gem state increase 69.9% a year if all systems see the proposed rate
increase.
Please add us to the list customers complaining and disagreeing.
