GSW-W-22-01 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE OF EXTENSION OF PUBLIC COMMENT DEADLINE ORDER NO. 35635 On July 21, 2022, Gem State Water Company, LLC (“Company”) applied to the Idaho Public Utilities Commission (“Commission”) for authorization to increase its rates and charges for water service. The Company requested its Application be processed by Modified Procedure and that any changes to its rates and charges be effective for bills rendered on or after September 1, 2022. On September 6, 2022, the Commission issued a Notice of Application, a Notice of Intervention Deadline, and a Notice of Suspension of the Proposed Effective Date. Order No. 35498. There were no intervenors in this case. On October 6, 2022, the Commission issued a Notice of Modified Procedure. Order No. 35548. On November 1, 2022, the Commission issued a Notice of Public Workshop setting a November 15, 2022, public workshop date. Order No. 35580 With this Order, the Commission provides a Notice of Public Customer Hearing and Notice of Extension of the Public Comment Deadline. NOTICE OF PUBLIC CUSTOMER HEARING YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that there will be a public customer hearing on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Pacific Time. The public customer hearing will be held at the Athol Community Center, 30355 3rd Street, Athol, Idaho, 83801. Those attending the hearing in-person will have an opportunity to provide testimony. People may also listen to the live testimony and the proceedings at the hearing by calling 1-415-655-0001 and entering code 2467 617 1016. However, persons will not be able to provide testimony by phone. YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that all hearings in this matter will be held in facilities meeting the accessibility requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The Commission also acknowledges that there may be interested persons who are unable to testify at the public hearing. The Commission believes it fair, just, and reasonable for members of the public to have ample opportunity to provide input. As such, the Commission finds it to be in the public interest to extend the public comment deadline for members of the public. YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that members of the public may file a written comment with the Commission by no later than January 20, 2023. Comments must be filed through the Commission’s website or by e-mail unless computer access is unavailable.
