DEADLINE SET ON RICKEL WATER RATE SETTING REQUEST
Case No. GNR-W-96-2
Wriften comments or protests on a request by Rickel Water Co.'s request to set rates for
customers in near Athol, Idaho l5 miles north of Coeur d'Alene must be submitted to the Idaho
Public Utilities Commission by Feb. 19 to be considered in the case.
Rickel Water Co. currently serves about six customers, but has the capacity of providing
domestic water services to 35 customers.
The company, which began serving customers in October 1995, proposes a monthly rate of $30
for 15,000 gallons of water. For each 1,000 gallons of water used over that amount, the company
proposes charging its customers an additional $1.10. Hookup fees for new customers are $6,000.
The Idatro Public Utilities Commission may not hold a hearing on the Rickel rate setting request
unless it receives written comments or protests, which will be evaluated in deciding whether a
formal public hearing is necessary.
