NEWS RELEASE: Customer hearing scheduled on water utility application to change rates.

BOISE (Sept. 11, 2023) – The Idaho Public Utilities Commission will hold a customer hearing
on Oct. 23 to take testimony on an application from Falls Water Co. to change the rates it
charges customers for water service.

Falls Water is seeking an approximate 47.3 percent increase in revenue collected. The
commission can accept, deny or modify the utility’s application.

Falls Water said the additional revenue would help recover increased operating expenses and
costs associated with plant additions.

The customer hearing will be Monday, Oct. 23, in the Idaho Falls Public Library Conference
Room, 457 West Broadway, Idaho Falls, ID 83402. It will start at 1:00 p.m. (MDT) and end at
3:00 p.m., or after all customer testimony has been taken, whichever comes first. Those attending
the hearing in-person will have the opportunity to submit testimony for the record. Those
interested in listening to the hearing can call 1-415-655-0001, and enter meeting number 2634
378 1777 when prompted. In-person attendance is required to submit testimony.

Written comments on the utility’s application are being accepted until Oct. 12, 2023. Comments
are required to be filed through the commission’s website or by e-mail unless computer access is
not available. To comment using the commission’s website, please visit puc.idaho.gov and click
on the “Case Comment Form” on the upper left side of the page. Use case number FLS-W-23-01
when filling out the form. If submitting comments using e-mail, comments must be sent to the
commission and Falls Water at the e-mail addresses listed below. If computer access is not
