Northwest Natural Water is a wholly-ownedsubsidiary of Northwest Natural Gas Company,a publicly-traded gas company located in Portland,Oregon.Falls Water is a privately held Idaho water company serving approximately 5,500 customers near Idaho Falls,Idaho. The Commission issued notice of the application and set an intervention deadline of March 30,2018.No intervenors appeared.After reviewing the application and gathering additional information,Staff has agreed that the Company's proposal to process this case by modified procedure is appropriate.Staff requested that the Commission set a May 31,2018, comment deadline,and a June 7,2018,reply deadline.Additionally,Staff requested that the Commission order a public workshop to be conducted by Staff on May 21,2018. With this Order the Commission authorizes the use of Modified Procedure, establishes deadlines for the filing of written comments,and orders that Staff conduct a public workshop. NOTICE OF MODIFIED PROCEDURE YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that the Commission has reviewed the filing in this action,and has determined that the public interest may not require a formal hearing in this matter and will proceed under Modified Procedure pursuant to Rules 201 through 204 of the Idaho Public Utilities Commission's Rules of Procedure,IDAPA 31.01.01.201 through .204.The NOTICE OF MODIFIED PROCEDURE NOTICE OF COMMENT DEADLINES NOTICE OF PUBLIC WORKSHOP ORDER NO.34057 l Commission notes that Modified Procedure and written comments have proven to be an effective means for obtaining public input and participation.
