Not only has this company proposed a rate increase, they have also proposed a decrease in the
gallon of water per month. The price increases by 19% on a 3/4 inch line from 16 to 19
dollars while the gallons drop from 12000 to 5000. This totals 186.57% price increase per
gallon on a 3/4 inch line. Absurd!!!

I am a senior citizen on a fixed income with large medical bills due to leukemia. A 26.51%
increase is out of the question with everything else going up in cost. I speak not only for
my self, but for other senior cxi tizens in the area also living on a fixed income. This
hurts the little guy with no other means of support. They just had a rate increase not that
long ago. I find that the public utilities commission of Idaho alsways gives in the some
sort of rate increase to any utility that asks for it. They did with Rocky Mountain Power
and it hurts.

The proposal for rate increase could not come at a worse time for me and my family and i 1m
sure for many other families in south east Idaho. I purchased my house three years ago and in
that time all my utilities have had an increase, including Falls water. Why another increase
from Falls water co.? I understand rates must increase from time to time, but twice in a two
year span. Times are tough for many people, I have a job and i have not had a rate increase
in years. With alÌ) the increase in our daily bills , it has forced us to continually
restructure the budget. Leaving things out that now will affect the life of my three year
old boy. So, I say no thank you and maybe Falls Water Co. can look at their budget that just
had an increase a year ago to find what they need. Thank you.

Please do not raise the cost of water by that much! I understand that everything has
increased over the last few years but so did my water rates from an average of $12 per month
now to $17.50. I have not had a raise at my job for over 5 years because of the economic
crisis and I fill lucky just to be employeed. Times are hard for my entire neighborhood. I
understand that with rising prices of items means a rise in cost of service but even the
24.3% means that in the last 5 years my cost for water would go from $12 to $21.75 that is
almost double. Please re-evaluate the increase to be resaonable for those of us struggling to
get by as it is. Thank you for allowing me the oppertuni ty to voice my consern as a customer.
I do appreciate the service and understand that an increase may be nessisary to insure the

Rate increases are understandable, and we appreciate Falls Water wanting to update their
infrastructure, but a 26% rate increase is simply too much. If they were aware of the
infrastructure issues they should have dealt with this in a gradual manner rather than raise
rates by this extreme amount in one hike. Once the rates go up it is almost impossible for
them to decrease, and in these economic times a hit like this on utilities can cause major
financial issues for families struggling to keep up with their bills. At the very least, a
smaller increase over a several year period should be considered and Falls Water should be
more forward-thinking in what their financial needs will be in upcoming years. Their
customers should not be punished for their lack of planning.

Reguarding rate changes:02/01/2012
I as well as close neighbors object to Falls Water Company and their proposed rate increase
for water services. I as well as others here in this relatively new subdivision named Summit
Park have been subjected to large costs just for the initial connection to the water system
and we pay excessive amounts to the Falls Water Company just to be able to keep our lawns
alive and green in the summer. We also all have been hit by the disastrous economy si tuatiion
and most of us find it necessary to grown a gardenfor basic survival which will be subjected
to this rate increase as well. We are allowed a basic fee for a small basic amount of water
usage which is just barely sufficient in the winter months with no lawn or garden watering. I
object to the rate increase and request a rate decrease just as Intermountain Gas Company has
proposed. Thankyou for your time.

Bottom line is that the american dollar is not going up in value, but everything continues
to rise, whether it be water, electric, gas, sanitation, utilities in general. I think the
percentages that Falls Water Co.is asking for are extremely high, ecspecially in todays
economy. I fully understand the need for maintainance and operations, but be realistic please
in considering the approval of this case.

I think were being over ran by our water company here in Idaho falls Id I am little bit
frustrated with another increase in our water cost we pay every month we had a increase
already and we got our bill for water for the month and I just got a letter from falls water
company saying they have applied for a increase as they are trying to recover costs of
replacing its ageing infrastructure well just wanted to note I really think they could cut
thier cost back if they mailed this all out with the bill they send us every month instead of
mailing 2 letters its a waste of management and postage to mail to letters I feel that thier
company is being mismanaged and its time for a change I know for a fact I am not the only
person complaining on this as thier are many of us under falls water that are very discussed
wi th falls water taking increases and I think we the people need to make a stand on this
issue . as i will make others aware of whats going on
