I realize Falls Water has financial obligations and certain price increases are neçcessary.
However I am opposed to these increases for the reason that I do not agree with their
policies and management of the water supply. Specifically I feel they need to revamp t~e way
they bill for water usage. In the summer months they read the water meter every month and try
to · catch i every bit of overage they can and then allow the winter months to run without
checking the meters. They allow 12) 000 gallons of usage per month if you go over in the
summer) they charge you extra and then for six months of the year they assume the 12)000
gallon/month usage and as long as you are not over 72)000 gallons in the spring you dont get
charged extra. My contention is that they could bill the same way over the course of the
entire year and allow the consumer to use 144) 000 gallons per year with no penalty unless
that number is exceeded. doing this would also save them the expense of driving around all
month long and could use that money elsewhere for upgrades to the system and maintenance.
They do not i reward i their customers for saving them money by using less water. Also they
read the meters using radio transmitters that do not allow the consumer to monitor their own
usage and rely solely on Falls Water and their equipment to be accurate. I want a guage to be
installed on the mainline entering my home so I can monitor my usage myself. At this time I
see no reason to reward poor management and questionable ethics. Please do not approve these
increases.

2/1/2010-i just want to let you know) that their are alot of low income & senior people that
live on the (FALLS WATER SYSTEM) .AND i dont think arate increase at this time . also the high
