PAC-05- On June 20, 2005 , Idaho Falls Power and PacifiCorp dba Utah Power & Light Company (PacifiCorp) filed a Joint Application seeking the Commission s approval of an electric consumer allocation agreement between the parties ("Allocation Agreement"). The Allocation Agreement dated May 27, 2005 , is submitted for the Commission s review pursuant to the provisions of the Electric Suppliers Stabilization Act (ESSA). Idaho Code 9 61-332 et seq. On July 15, 2004, the Commission decided to process the Application under Modified Procedure with a 21 day comment period. Order No. 29822. Comments are due August 5, 2005. MOTION TO EXTEND COMMENT PERIOD On July 29, 2005 , Staff filed a Motion to Extend the Comment Period established in Order No. 29822. Staff would like more time to review the Allocation Agreement and pursue discussions with the parties thereto. PacifiCorp supports this Motion. However, Staff has been unable to reach the City of Idaho Falls to determine its position on the Motion. ST AFF RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends that the Motion to Extend the Comment Period be granted. STAFF MOTION TO EXTEND COMMENT PERIOD MOTION TO EXTEND COMMENT PERIOD Staff respectfully requests a 14-day extension of the comment period established in Order No. 29822. As a result comments would be due August 19 , 2005. Staff seeks this extension, because we have initiated discussions with both Idaho Falls Power and PacifiCorp regarding issues raised in the Allocation Agreement and need more time to conclude these discussions. Counsel for PacifiCorp supports this Motion. However, Staff has been unable to contact the City of Idaho Falls to determine its position on this Motion.
