Kootenai County water company to expand boundaries Boise - The Idaho Public Utilities Commission is granting the Diamond Bar Water Company authority to increase its boundaries to include the Boekel Estates Subdivision in Kootenai County. The commission said Diamond Bar has adequate water supply to serve the 70-acre subdivision but did order the company to assess a $200 meter installation charge on new customers. The expansion of Diamond Bar s territory will not impact the rates of existing customers. Extension of water service will require excavation and installation of mains, fire hydrants and meter boxes. The estimated cost for the project is $130 000, all of which will be paid by the developer. Any person interested may petition for reconsideration by no later than Aug. 23. Petitions for reconsideration must set forth specifically why the petitioner contends that the order is unreasonable, unlawful or erroneous. Petitions should include a statement of the nature and quantity of evidence the petitioner will offer if reconsideration is granted. Petitions can be delivered to the commission at 472 W. Washington St. in Boise, mailed to P. Box 83720, Boise, ill, 83720-0074, or faxed to 208-334-3762.
