Country Club Hills provides metered water service to 118 households and a flat rate water service to another 10 households southeast of Idaho Falls. Its rates were last adjusted in 1990. The company claims it needs the increase to meet systems demands and to continue providing uninterrupted water service. The company is proposing to increase its flat rate from $14 per month to $20 per month for all use under 15 000 gallons. Metered rates for use of 15 000 gallons or more would increase from 35 cents per 1 000 gallons to 45 cents. The company also proposes to increase its hook-up fee from $300 to $500 per hook-up. The company s annual report for 2004 indicated annual revenue at $32 356 and operating and interest expenses at $41 020 for a net loss of$8 664. The company also owes Denning Drilling, Inc. $7 370 for the replacement of a 30-horsepower pump at one of its wells. The workshop will begin at 7 p.m. at the Activity Center at 1575 N. Skyline. Commission staff will be present to explain the company s proposal and to take questions from customers. In addition to the public workshop, the commission is also taking written comments from customers through May 11.
