On July 11,2014,Capitol Water Corporation (“Capitol Water”or Company”)filed
an Application to increase its Schedule No.3 Purchased Power Adjustment Rate to rccover the
Company’s cost of electricity related to Idaho Power Company’s (Idaho Power’)electric rate
schedules that have been approved by the Idaho Public Utilities Commission (‘IPUC’or
‘Commission’).”Application at 1.Capitol Water proposes an effective date of September 1,
2014.
On July 30,2014.the Commission issued a Notice of Application and Modified
Procedure establishing a 21-day comment period.See Order No.33086.Thereafter.
Commission Staff was the only party to submit written comments within the established
comment period.
Based upon Staffs comments,the Company desires to file reply comments.Given
the Companys desire to file reply comments,the proposed effective date,and the existing
Decision Meeting schedule,Staff recommended that the Commission suspend the proposed
effective date of September 1,2014,until September 15.2014,unless the Commission issues its
Order in this case at an earlier time.The Company agrees to postpone the proposed effective
date of its Application until September 15,2014.
ORDER
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that.pursuant to the Commission’s authority under idaho
Code §61-622,Capitol Water Corporation’s Application to increase its rates and charges for
water service shall be suspended until September 15,2014.
