Capitol Water Corporation that serves a portion of the west Boise bench area filed an
application with the Idaho Public Utilties Commission (PUC) on May 8, 2009 to increase its
rates by 1.675% effective July 1, 2009. The request is in response to Idaho Power Company's
proposed increase in its Power Cost Adjustment rates to be effective June 1, 2009. Capitol
Water wil see an increase in its electricity costs of 13% or $9,967.00 annually. The Capitol
Water application is intended only to recover the increase in the power rates and the
Company's cost of making application for the change to the Puc. The Application is on file for
review at the Company's offce at 2626 Eldorado Street in Boise. The Application is also
available for review at the PUC located at 472 W. Washington Street, Boise or on-line at
puc.idaho.gov.
Comments regarding the application should be mailed to the Company at 2626 Eldorado St.,
Boise, Idaho 83704 and to the Idaho Public Utilties Commission at P.O. Box 83720, Boise, Idaho
83720-0074. Comments may also be submitted electronically on the PUC website
www.puc.idaho.gov.
