RE: Rate raise modification
Sirs:
On Febru 24,2011, I put in a request to raise my base rate from $12.50/month
to $18.00/ month. I want to modify the reasoning for the rate raise.
The primar reason for this raise is to increase revenues and build a reserve for
maintenance issues as they arise for this aging water system. These costs include replacing
old meters, replacing old galvanized service lines, main line repairs, pump repairs etc.
Drillng a new, deeper well to resolve the nitrate problem is stil on the table. However,
the final cost of this project won't be known for some time. I expect to submit another rate
raise request in about 10 months to cover this cost.
