CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY TO
PROVIDE RESOLD LOCAL EXCHANGE AND INTEREXCHANGE
TELECOMMUNICATIONS SERVICES. CASE NO. TAM-05-
On March 15, 2005 Tamarack Video & Telecom LLC ("Tamarack") filed an
Application for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity to provide local exchange and
toll services throughout the State of Idaho. Tamarack filed an Amended Application for
Certification on April 15 , 2005.
Tamarack intends to provide local exchange and interexchange services primarily to
residential and business customers at the Tamarack Resort in Valley County.However
Tamarack requests authority to provide facilities-based local exchange and interexchange
telecommunications services throughout Valley County and Adams County.
Initially, Tamarack will provide local exchange service, Voice over Internet Protocol
and other services. In addition Tamarack plans to offer interexchange telecommunications
services on a resale basis. Tamarack will compete primarily with the incumbent local exchange
carrier, Frontier.
Tamarack is an Idaho limited liability company with a corporate office and registered
agent located in Boise, Idaho. Tamarack is wholly owned by Tamarack Resort, LLC.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Application be processed by Modified Procedure.
