***FYI My current rates are $10.50/mo base rate for the first 4000 gallons and $1.08/1000
gallons subsequently. I have asked the IPUC to allow me to raise the base rate to $15.00.
I have had several major repairs over that last couple of years totalling over $12 000.
In addition there are a number of meters that will need to be replaced over the next couple of
years. There are still some galvanized service lines that will need to be replaced someday. To
hire that out is easily $2000 now days.
Fifteen dollars a month for basic water service is still plenty reasonable. I pay $20 a
month here. Comments can be made to the Idaho Public Utilities Commission. The last rate
raise was in 2001.
