RE: Rate raise
Sirs;
Brian Water last received a rate raise in 2001. The current rates are $10.50/mo for the
first 4000 gallons and $1.08 I 1000 gallons thereafter. I'm proposing to raise my base rate to
$15.00/month.
In the past two and half years I have had $12 000 in repair expenses. Also, I need to start
replacing some of the older meters. Electrical rates have gone up also.
Fifteen dollars a month for basic water service is plenty reasonable. I pay $20 a month
here where I live. Also, people pay more than that for internet and cell phone service.
