The other fees they are asking for should be enough to increase their revenues. Some of the present homeowners have already let their properties go due to the cost of watering, and it would be a shame to see other properties go downhill. If everybody quit watering their lawns, the revenue would be less, and then what? In this economy, I think raising this fee by over double is asking too much. (they are the ones that tell us we have to keep a well manicured lawn . its in the CC&Rs.) this i have no problem with but if you put this water increase on us then we can not afford to have a lawn or a garden. we ask that you please have some concideration for the home owner and not the guys who just want to get richer. thank you so much for your time. I figured, using the new rates, what our average bill would be using the past twelve months usage. Our current average is $24.61/mo. With the proposed rate increase our average bill would increase to $53.96. Also, we have exceeded the 7500 gallon base rate in all of the last twelve months with a family of four and one dog. We installed a sprinkler system two years ago and have seen a drop in summer usage, but we still cannot stay within the 7500 gallons, not even close. In todays economy, when all of us our struggling to make ends meet, I think this rate increase request is excessive. Our home is located on the cul- de- sac and we experience dramatic fluxuations in water pressure during peak hours. There is another planned development (Double T Estates) in the future which will (again) drop the pressure during peak times. Why has Bar Circle S waited to slap the residents of this development with a huge rate increase all at once? If it is to help pay for the addition of more homes on the system, then they should not be allowed to add more homes - some of us are already 'taxed i for water during peak hours as it is. If the rate increase is approved, at least increase the base usage of 7500 to minimize the impact to the residents. Please do not allow them to implement this huge increase.
