Please describe your comment briefly: We are quite concerned with the request for this obsorbident rate hike. What type of business can over night demand 119 plus% rate increase, expect to get it, and stay in business? We feel that even a 20% hike is over board. Most wages only go up with the coast of living increase (4- 5%) and most wages are being frozen right now. The elderly couple to the south of us have already stopped watering their back yard, (which they enjoyed gazing over from their patio) and they are cutting way back on watering in the front. We have lived here four years now. The deal is, we should not be punished for their negligence to opporating their water company for so many years. What is next? Will he try to attach this water system to their BIG NEW HOUSING DEVELOPMENT to the north of us? If so our water pressure will fluctuate even more then it already does, and possibly cause all of our new sprinkler systems to be obsolete? This rate hike is to absurd to even be considered, especially during this economic down turn. We feel this is totally unfare and bording on extortion. Our business has slowed, the neighbor to the north has been layed off, the elderly couple to the south are on a fixed income, the neighbor across the street has lost his job and has to commute to Wisconsin for employment. We are all hard working people and take great pride in keeping a nice home. This will not be possible if these astronomical rate hikes are permitted. Thank you for your time in considering this most taxing issue.
