RE:IDAHO POWER COMPANY'S IDAHO NATIONAL LABORATORY
SERVICE CONTRACT
On March 22 , 2005 Idaho Power Company (Company) filed a tariff advice with the
Commission requesting approval of a one-year extension and revisions to its service contract with the
Idaho National Laboratory (INL). The revised contract would be in effect May 16, 2005 through May
, 2006 unless terminated earlier by the exercise of other contract provisions.
Idaho Power Company s letter request for authorization states
With the following exception, the extended contract is identical to the
current contract:
The contract includes a new section (~ 10.2) which outlines the
procedures and responsibilities of the DOE, the site contractors, and the
Company for the safe conduct of work and operations at the INL.
The Company requests approval by Minute Entry.
STAFF REVIEW AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Staff has reviewed the Company s filing and has determined that ~he nature of the changes are
as stated above. INL rates are not set by contract but are established by tariff. Staff does not believe
that notice of the proposed contract changes is necessary or beneficial in this instance. Staff
recommends that the Commission approve the new contract by Minute Entry.
