Carrier has been investing in Bonner County since 2004 and also owns real estate in Nevada.   The Algoma Water application also includes a request for an increase to residential customers from $17.59 per month to $30. For commercial customers, the proposed increase is from $28.15 per month to $40. The company claims it has been many years since a rate increase and that extensive repairs have been made to the system during the last two years.   Parties who wish to intervene in the case to present evidence and cross-examine witnesses must file petitions of intervention with the commission by no later than Aug. 27. Later, the commission will announce dates for public workshops and hearings and provide comment deadlines for the general public.   The commission also directed the company to prepare and distribute a customer notice providing information about the proposed increase.   The company’s application and other documents related to this case are available on the commission’s Web site at http://www.puc.idaho.gov/www.puc.idaho.gov.
