BOISE (Dec. 8, 2023) – The Idaho Public Utilities Commission has approved a certificate of public convenience and necessity that will allow Atomic Water Company to provide water service in the unincorporated town of Atomic City, Idaho. In addition to approving the certificate, the commission approved rates that will allow Atomic Water to collect an annual revenue requirement of $17,096. Atomic Water will charge residential customers a monthly rate of $55.00 and commercial customers a monthly rate of $123.00. Atomic Water provides service to about 31 customers in Atomic City. Prior to Atomic Water buying the water system, Bingham County operated it following the disincorporation of Atomic City. Additional information is available at puc.idaho.gov/case/Details/6981.
