Established in 1913. Idaho Code Sections 61, 62, and 63.
The Commission regulates Idaho's investor-owned utilities, ensuring adequate
service and reasonable rates.
The Commission is made up of three commissioners appointed by the Governor.
The Commission makes the decisions in each case.
Commission Staff is made up of Auditors, Consumer Advocates, Engineers &
Technical Analysts.
Commission Staff is a party in all filed cases and provides comments and
recommendations to the Commissioners.

COMPANY REQUEST:
The Commission approval to undertake three capital improvement projects:
1.Construction of a new water source designated as Well #11
2.Construction of a water storage tank including related facilities
3.Construction of a wellhouse and related improvements at the Taylor Mountain Water System
The Commission authorize the Company to use the Special Plant Reserve Fund to fund all or, as
funds allow the capital projects:
BACKGROUND
Falls Water Company
•Regulated by the Public Utilities Commission
•Private Utility serving approximately 5,570 residential and commercial customers
•Service territory is North of the City of Ammon, and Northeast of the City of Idaho Falls
Prior Filing
•FLS-W-17-01 Requested approval to construct new well (i.e., Well #10)
•Commission Order No. 33863
•Approved new well
•Even with the new well, the system would not meet requirements for firewater flow
•Company needed to complete system study to prioritize future investment
•In 2019, Company commissioned study (aka. Capital Facilities Plan)
