McCarthy, Attorney at Law on behalf of Charlotte Taylor. This complaint states that Ms. Taylor lives at 1314 Main Avenue, Apt. D, Buhl, Idaho and is where she receives service from Idaho Power Company. Ms. Taylor claims that she was not aware she would be held responsible for payment of bills for service provided to residences where her son lived over the past one and one-half years. This dispute is regarding $999.01 that was transferred to her primary residential account on July 2 2004. At the Decision Meeting held on September 13 2004, the Commission decided to allow more time for the Staff to work with Ms. Taylor and Idaho Power to resolve the complaint and negotiate payment arrangements. The parties have reached agreement. I have attached copies of correspondence from Mr. McCarthy, Ms. Taylor s legal counsel, and from the Staff outlining the tenns of the agreement. Ms. Taylor will pay $75 per month beginning November 8 , 2004 to satisfy payment of the balance of her power bill. Since the parties have reached agreement, it is no longer necessary for the Commission to consider Ms. Taylor s request to file a fonnal complaint against Idaho Power. COMMISSION DECISION Does the Commission agree that it is no longer necessary to consider Ms. Taylor request to file a fonnal complaint? d ~'fl h '111f /l Carol ooper Attachments i:udmemos/char taylor cmplt DECISION MEMORANDUM OCTOBER 7, 2004 10/04/2004 15: 23 FAX 208 734 7067 Idaho Legal Aid IDAHO LEGAL AID SERVICES Twin Falls Office www. idaholegalaid.org October 4, 2004 Mr. Randy Green CustolIler Servjce Supervisor Idaho Power Company O. Box 1296 Twin Falls, ill 83303 Re: Charlotte Taylor Dear Mr. McCarthy: The agreement reached between Idaho Power Company and Charlotte Taylor is for Ms. Taylor to pay $75 per month with the first payment due by November 8, 2004. This is to be considered a levelized payment plan to satisfy payment of the balance of her power bill. The expectation is that she will apply for Energy Assistance this winter to help pay down her debt as soon as possible. Once the arrearage is paid off, she could negotiate a new level pay plan or go back to paying each new bill as it becomes due.
