NOTICE OF CONSUMMATION
Re: Proposed Abandonment of the Coeur d'Alene Industrial Lead from Milepost 7.5
near Gibbs to the end of the Line at Milepost 8.79 near Coeur'd Alene, a distance of
1.29 miles, in Kootenai County, Idaho;
STB Docket No. AB-33 (Sub-No. 272X)
Dear Ms. Brown:
This is to advise tht in accordance with 49 CFR 1152.29(e)(2), as of October 31, 2010,
the Union Pacific Railroad Company, ("UP") with regard to the subject Abandonment
Exemption, has consumated the abandonment of the Coeur'd Alene Industral Lead from
Milepost 7.5 to Milepost 8.79, a distace of 1.29 miles, in Kootenai County, Idaho, pursuant to
authority granted in the Surace Transporttion Board's ("Board's") Decision served May 4,
2009 as supplemented on June 16,2010. Ths matter was reopened by late release decision
served June 12,2009 under which the Board removed the Section 106 historic preservation
condition. Evidence of Satisfaction of the condition requiring reporting of results of
consultations with the Idaho Deparment of Environmental Quality (Idao DEQ") to the Board's
Section of Environmental Analysis (SEA) was filed with the Board by UP on October 5, 2010.
In such filing, a written statement from the Idaho DEQ stating No Further Action Required
was included.
A copy of this notice is being served concurently with the Commission Secretar, Idao
Public Utilties Commission, P. O. Box 83720, 472 West Washington St., Boise, ID 83702.
