Need for Proposed Rulemaking:
Increase the monetary reporting threshold for railroad accidents/incidents and make
housekeeping updates.
Proposed Rules Changes (Summary Only):
The PUC’s Accident Reporting Rules were last updated in 1993. The proposed changes would
adopt the October 1, 2002 49 CFR Part 225 with an update reporting threshold and make other
necessary housekeeping changes.
