RE: Records in UP’s Silver Valley Branchline Abandonment
Dear Mr. Arthur:
Following up on our telephone conversation of January 21, 1998, I wanted to let you know that the records we spoke of concerning the Union Pacific Railroad abandonment in the Silver Valley are no longer maintained in this office.  Consequently, it will take me a few days to have those records returned to our offices from our records storage contractor.  Once the records are returned, I will review them to see which documents may be pertinent to your inquiry regarding potential rail traffic figures.  Again, I would remind you that this data is several years old, nonetheless, I will forward to you when I receive the records.
