Exemption - in Fremont County, Idaho
Dear Sir/lvladam:
Please be advised that on or shortly after May 17, 2018, Eastem Idaho Railroad L.L.C.
("EIRR") expects to file with the Surface Transportation Board ("STB") a Notice of Exemption
seeking authority to abandon the S-mile rail line located between Milepost 28.80, at Egin, and
Milepost 33.80 at Parker, in Fremont County, Idaho (the "Line"). Based on information in EIRR's
possession, the Line does not contain federally granted right of way. Any documentation in
EIRR's possession will be made available promptly to those requesting it.
In connection with the proposed abandonment, Federal Regulations at 49 C.F.R.
1152.50(d)(1) require that we provide you notice as to the following:
(1) Name of Railroad:
Eastern Idaho Railroad L.L.C.
(2) Description of Line to be Abandoned:
The 5-mile rail line is located between Milepost 28.80, at Egin, and
Milepost 33.80 in Parker, Fremont County, Idaho. The Line traverses U.S.
Zip Codes 83445 and 83438.
(3) Abandonment Procedures to be Followed:
EIRR intends to file a Notice of Exemption pursuant to 49 C.F.R. 1152.50.
These exemption procedures are applicable to rail lines that have had no
local traffic for at least 2 years and where any overhead traffic can be
rerouted. No local or overhead traffic has moved over the Line for over 2
years.
(4) Date of Filing:
EIRR expects to file its Notice of Exemption with the STB on or shortly
after May 17,2018.
