HomeMy WebLinkAboutKuther_dh.doc March 22, 2000 Shelley Kuther Historical Society Box 96 Craigmont, ID 83523 Re: Camas Prairie RailNet’s Abandonment of the Spalding-Grangeville Line Dear Ms. Kuther: Pursuant to our telephone conversation yesterday, I have enclosed several documents for your review including a copy of Camas Prairie’s draft Environmental and Historical Report (EHR), a copy of my handouts from last Wednesday night (showing the tentative STB schedule and important names, addresses, and web sites), and the STB publication “Abandonments and Alternative to Abandonments.” Finally, I have enclosed a list of the 43 bridges on the Spalding-Grangeville line. Although the table information does not “line up” exactly, the bridges were all originally constructed in 1908. The dates to the left of 1908 reflect the dates that the structures were periodically rebuilt or refurbished. The first number on each line represents the mile post location in an easterly direction starting from Spalding to Grangeville. I hope you find this information helpful.
