RE: Abandonment of the Grangeville Line

Dear Gary,

Pursuant to our telephone conversation this morning, I have enclosed several documents for your information. The first set of documents are the comments from the three state agencies to Camas Prairie’s draft Environmental and Historical Report (EHR). The Transportation Department did a good job in describing the potential impacts of 10-12,000 heavy truck trips per year on U.S. Highway 95. I have also included the City of Grangeville’s response to the EHR.

Finally, I have also included a copy of the federal regulations dealing with abandonments found at 49 C.F.R. Part 1152. The nice people in my copying department have enlarged each page so it will be easier for you to read.
