As stated in the attached drawing, the catwalk wil be 7' 7" from the centerline of the track. The rule requires an 8' 6" inch clearance. Moving the platforms closer to the car will allow our employees to perform responsibilties safely. The tracks are owned and located on Crown Pacific property. With the exception of the switch crew and our employees, no other people wil access the area. I have discussed this matter with the railroad. They have no objections provided we place proper warning signs for their crew at the entr end of the spur. I am working with them on this signage. Than you for your consideration of this matter.
