SUBJECT:IN THE MATTER OF SPIRIT LAKE EAST WATER COMPANY'
REQUEST FOR EXTENSION OF TIME TO FILE WRITTEN
COMMENTS. CASE NO. SPL-04-
On March 22, 2004, the Commission Notice of Application and Notice of Modified
Procedure in this case. Order No. 29451. In that Order, the Commission directed the Company
to file any reply comments on or before May 7 2004. Id. at 2. On May 6 2004, Spirit Lake East
filed a timely request for extension oftime to file written reply comments. The Company states
the reason for the extension of time is to allow for written confirmation of firm contract prices
for the installation of water services as described on page 5 of the Staff Comments. Despite
numerous requests, the Company states, it has not received the written confirmation ftom the
contractor. For these reasons the Company requests this extension. The Company requests that
it be allow to file reply comments on or before May 21 , 2004. Staff has no objection to the
extension of the written reply comment deadline.
