Company (BNSF) Abandonment in Coeur d' Alene, Kootenai County, Idaho
Dear Secretary Williams:
On June 15, 2006, BNSF filed a Notice of Exemption seeking authority to abandon or discontinue
service of approximately 2.12 miles of railroad line between railroad milepost 12.33 and railroad
milepost 14.45, in Coeur d' Alene, Kootenai County, Idaho. The line traverses United States
Postal Service Zip Codes 83814 and 83816.
By STB decision served July 5, 2006, the STB granted the exemption authority to abandon
effective August 4, 2006. Within that same decision, the STB stated that the abandonment is to
be consummated by July 5, 2007. This letter is to advise the Board that BNSF is consummating
the abandonment of the subject line as of the date of this letter.
Please acknowledge receipt of this letter by date stamping the enclosed copy of this letter and
returning it to me in the enclosed self-addressed stamped envelope.
Ten (10) additional copies of this letter are enclosed for the Board's use and distribution.
