On January February 27 2004, the Commission received Advice No. 04-02 from Verizon Northwest, Inc. In this filing, Verizon proposes to come into compliance with Federal Communications Commission regulations regarding the application of subscriber line charges on derived services. In the past, Verizon has offered CyberDS 1 service with 24 digital channels and applied two subscriber line charges. Verizon will continue to offer CyberDS 1 and now proposes to offer a credit for 22 of the 24 applicable subscriber line charges; effectively keeping the customers at the same overall monthly cost of that service. STAFF REVIEW Staff has reviewed the proposed changes to Verizon s I.P.D.C. No.8 Tariff and considers the filing informational. Although CyberDS 1 is locally tariffed because it is a service connected to a local switch, treatment of the applicable subscriber line charges is a federal issue and Staff believes it has no impact on intrastate revenues. Verizon has asked for an effective date of March 30, 2004, and Staff recommends approval ofVerizon s Advice No. 04-02.
