ORDER NO. 35287

BACKGROUND
On Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. Mountain Standard Time, the Idaho
Public Utilities Commission (“the Commission”) held a Decision Meeting and considered the
election of a new Commission President.1 During that Decision Meeting, pursuant to Idaho Code
§ 61-203, President Paul Kjellander resigned as Commission President and nominated
Commissioner Eric Anderson. Commissioner Anderson was unanimously elected as Commission
President. On December 28, 2021, the Commission approved the Minutes of the Decision Meeting
from December 21, 2021—thereby memorializing the election of President Anderson.2
O R D E R
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED, consistent with the duties and responsibilities contained
in Chapter 2 of Title 61 of the Idaho Code, that the President of the Commission shall preside as
the chairman for all decision meetings and other public hearings unless another Commissioner is
designated as chairman. In addition, the Commission authorizes the president to perform the
following delegated functions on behalf of the Commission:
1. Execute Contracts when authorized by the Commission;
2. Issue the Commission’s administrative policies and guidelines when such policies
and guidelines are approved by the Commission; and
3. Execute personnel actions.
