HomeMy WebLinkAbout20180504intervention_order_no_34055.pdfOffice of the Secretary Service Date May 4,2018 BEFORE THE IDAHO PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION IN THE MATTER OF THE INVESTIGATION )CASE NO.GNR-U-18-01 INTO THE IMPACT OF FEDERAL TAX )CODE REVISIONS ON UTILITY COSTS AND )RATEMAKING )ORDER NO.34055 On April 17,2018,PacifiCorp Idaho Industrial Customers (PIIC)and Monsanto Company (Monsanto)petitioned to intervenein this case.PIIC's and Monsanto's petitions waived service for all filings not relevant to PacifiCorp. On April 20,2018,Idaho Irrigation Pumper's Association (IIPA)also petitioned to intervene.No one opposed IIPA's petition. FINDINGS Commission Order 33991 set a March 6,2018 deadline for petitions to intervene. PIIC's,Monsanto's,and IIPA's petitions are,therefore,untimely. Untimely petitions to intervene are governed by Rules 71-75,IDAPA 31.01.01.071- .075.Based on the record,we find that PIIC,Monsanto,and IIPA have shown good cause for untimelyfiling,and that they have a direct and substantial interest in this proceeding and will not unduly broaden the issues.We thus find it reasonable to grant PIIC's,Monsanto's,and IIPA's petitions to interveneon the condition that they not delay,disrupt,or undulybroaden the issues in this proceeding.We note that,per Rule 73,PIIC,Monsanto and IIPA are bound by all prior orders and notices issued in the case. ORDER IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED that the Petition to Intervene filed by PIIC is granted on the conditions specified above. IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED that the Petition to Intervene filed by Monsanto is granted on the conditions specified above. IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED that the Petition to Intervene filed by IIPA is granted on the conditions specified above.
