RE:POTLATCH TELEPHONE COMPANY ADVICE LETTER 03-05P TO
ADD CALL TRANSFER-ENHANCED EFFECTIVE DECEMBER 5, 2003
Potlatch Telephone Company filed this Tariff Advice to grandfather the existing Call
Transfer service and rates to existing customers and add Call Transfer-Enhanced to the Custom
Calling Service offerings. The new service enables customers to transfer multiple incoming or
outbound calls to a third party with either a Screened Transfer (enables the transferring party to
announce a call to the third party prior to completing the call) or a Blind Transfer (enables the
transferring party to disconnect itself prior to the third party answer). Call Transfer Enhanced
will be offered to customers for $5.00 per month for both business and residential customers.
The service to be grandfathered provided Call Transfer for $.50 for residential and $1.50 for
business customers. Potlatch anticipates approximately 50 sales per month and an annual
revenue ofless than $5 000 from this service.
Additionally, Potlatch adds a footnote to its Toll Restriction service to clarify that ITSAP
recipients are not required to pay Toll Restriction charges. This addition was in response to
Staffs request after Staff had received several questions regarding Potlatch's new Toll
Restriction with Pin Override service (which ITSAP customers will be required to pay).
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends approval of Potlatch Advice 03-05P effective December 5 , 2003.
