CPCN NO. 381 IN IDAHO; CASE NO. CHT-03-
BACKGROUND
On November 4 2003 , the Commission received a letter from Choctaw Communications
Inc. dba Smoke Signals Communications (Choctaw) indicating that it has no customers and no
plans to operate in Idaho and wished to voluntarily withdraw its Certificate of Public
Convenience and Necessity. Choctaw was granted Certificate No. 381 in October 1999. (Case
No. GNR-99-) Choctaw has withdrawn its authority to transact business in Idaho at the
Secretary of State s office.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that Choctaw be granted its request and that Certificate No. 381 be
withdrawn without prejudice.
