RE: Idaho Code Section 49-1422(4)—Color of Former School Buses
To Whom It May Concern:
Please be advised, that any person, business or entity operating a bus formerly used as a school bus and which is no longer to be used for the transportation of pupils must first paint that bus a color other than school bus chrome (i.e., standard school bus yellow) and must obliterate all school bus markings prior to its use. Failure to do so, constitutes a violation of Idaho Code § 49-1422(4) which provides:
When any school bus is sold and is no longer to be used for the transportation of pupils, before it may again be used on the highways of this state, it shall be painted a color other than school bus chrome and all school bus markings shall be obliterated.
Sincerely,
Brad Purdy
