RE:IN THE MATTER OF THE INVESTIGATION OF ATLANTA POWER
COMPANY'S RATES AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. CASE NO. ATL-03-
On September 11 , 2000, the Commission received a petition from residents of Atlanta
Idaho, enumerating their concerns about the electric service being provided by Atlanta Power
Company. Once receiving Staffs informal investigation, the Commission issued a Proposed
Order on April 10, 2003 and solicited public comment. To allow Staff to address some of the
concerns raised by these comments, the Commission scheduled a public workshop to be held on
June 18 2003 and extended the comment period to July 22. Order No. 29257. The Commission
Notice did not specify a separate time period for Company Reply Comments.
Lynn Stevenson, President of Atlanta Power Company, emailed Staff on Monday, July
21. Mr. Stevenson has read the comments filed thus far and wishes to file a written response.
However, he requested that the Commission allow Atlanta Power the opportunity to respond after
the July 22 deadline so that it may consider all comments received by the close of the deadline
(including those of Staff). Thus, Mr. Stevenson requested a 7-day extension, or a reply comment
period ending July 29 2003, to enable the Company to respond to comments received in this case.
COMMISSION DECISION
Does the Commission wish allow Atlanta Power until July 29, 2003 to respond to
customer comments in this case?
