SUBJECT: IN THE MATTER OF INTERMOUNTAIN GAS COMPANY’S
APPLICATION FOR A DETERMINATION OF 2022 ENERGY
EFFICIENCY EXPENSES AS PRUDENTLY INCURRED; CASE NO. INT-
G-23-06.
On October 6, 2023, Intermountain Gas Company (“Company”), a subsidiary of MDU
Resources Group, Inc., applied to the Idaho Public Utilities Commission (“Commission”) for an
order designating $3,364,641 of 2022 Energy Efficiency expenditures as prudently incurred
(“Application”). The Company filed its 2022 Energy Efficiency Annual Report concurrently with
its Application.
On November 15, 2023, the Commission issued a Notice of Application and Notice of
Intervention Deadline. Order No. 36002. On December 15, 2023, the city of Boise City petitioned
to intervene. The Commission granted intervention. Order No. 36032.1
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff has contacted the parties in this case and recommends that the Commission issue a
Notice of Modified Procedure establishing a February 22, 2024, public comment deadline, and a
March 15, 2024, Company reply comment deadline.
