Aer seeing the cost of natural gas falling to a 30 month low, the 3rg rate hike being requested sure seems wrong. I an in Illinois at the moment, NIGAS has not raised prices here nearly as much as Intermountain, and they want more? They must need help in the purchasing department to locate lower priced gas, not a rate increase. If this message is being sent to the wrong person, would you kindly get it to the right person? Thank you very much. Another rate increase means I will have to go without heat." ------ [Open in the PUC Intranet applicaon] --------------------------------------------------------------- From: PUCWeb Noficaon <Do.Not.Reply@puc.idaho.gov> Sent: Wednesday, April 12, 2023 12:00 PM To: Jan Noriyuki <jan.noriyuki@puc.idaho.gov> Subject: Noce: A comment was submited to PUCWeb The following comment was submited via PUCWeb: Name: Ron Tincher Submission Time: Apr 12 2023 11:19AM Email: ronncher99@gmail.com Telephone: 208-880-1044 Address: 3301 Seminole Dr Nampa, ID 83686 Name of Ulity Company: Intermountain Gas Case ID: INT-G-22-07 Comment: "Instead of a rate increase the rate for natural gas to consumers should be reduced. The spot 2 price for natural gas has decreased significantly compared to the prices a year ago. Currently running at less than half and is predicted by Kiplinger, a major media and business forecast company, to connue to run significantly less. They state that natural gas prices remain deeply depressed at just over $2 per million Brish thermal unit compared to last year's peak at $9.50. 2023 - Jan $3.27, Feb $2.38, Mar $2,31 2022 - Jan $4.38, Feb $4.69, Mar $4.90 The average spot price for December 2022 when this case was filed was $5.53. It has since dropped significantly and as such the price to the consumers should be reduced accordingly not increased. Consumers have already seen significant rate increases that were jusfied at the me but are no longer appropriate. Thanks for your consideraon, Ron Tincher" ------ [Open in the PUC Intranet applicaon] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
