Comment: "RE: proposed increase of customer bills (3.2%) in Idaho. Intermountain Gas Company is owed by MDU Resources, a for-profit company traded on the NYSE. The stated
increase is NOT being requested based on cost of gas; the firm states it wants to raise rates for "infrastructure." However, based on the 2021 and 2022 financial presentations (available
onlinehttps://s29.q4cdn.com/584607104/files/doc_presentation/2022/3Q-2022-Slide-Deck-Confidential-Final.pdf), MDU has seen RECORD profits ($5.11 BILLION income in 2021-
22; profits of $149.9 M- GAAP). In fact, MDU has proudly returned millions to its shareholders, and separated itself from the Knife River Project to ensure future gains. It is
NOT the responsibility of the captive audience of consumers in rural Idaho to fund the needed infrastructure of a large for-profit company making hundreds of millions of dollars in profits
annually. The company should use those profits to fund its own infrastructure-- as that same infrastructure drives its profits. I vehemently object to this proposed increase. "
