RE:FREMONT TELCOM ADVICE 03-02 TO OFFER A NEW ADVANCED
CUSTOM CALLING PACKAGE, EFFECTIVE AUGUST 3, 2003
GVNW filed this tariff advice on behalf of Fremont Te1com proposing a new Advanced
Custom Calling Package called the "Big 3 Package." This package proposes to offer Caller ID
Call Waiting and Voice Mail to residential customers for $12.25 and to Business Customers for
$18.25. Fremont's current a la carte rate for residential Caller ID with Name and Number is
$6.50 and Call Waiting with ill, $8., totaling $15.00. (Voice Mail is not regulated and we do
not have rates for it.) Business customers would pay $17.50 plus the rate for Voice Mail if they
purchased these features a la carte.
Fremont's projected gross revenue for this package is slightly over $3 000 per year and
the Company anticipates that churn will decrease this gross profit by about half. Consequently,
the proj ected revenue is minimal.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends approval effective August 3 , 2003. Does the Commission agree?
